The Scomadi Story



Registered in 2005, Scomadi Ltd is a British Company and partnership between two Internationally recognised pioneers of the scooter industry - Frank Sanderson of Scooter Innovation Ltd and Paul Melici of PM Tuning Ltd. United, Frank and Paul hold 60 years of Scooter Industry experience and together they created Scomadi.

10 years of intense research and product development have been invested in the Scomadi brand and as such the proof of its worth includes many accolades, a World Record and several British Titles in the Scooter Sprint arena.

The reality for Scomadi began in 2009 with the arrival of the Scomadi Turismo Leggera 250. Ten exclusive hand-built carbon fibre models were released; all were sold prior to completion. Due to this overwhelming demand a further 20 hand-built custom-painted, customer specific 300cc models were introduced. Again, all sold instantly.

As Scomadi’s reputation gathered rapid momentum, contracts were established with a high-quality Far East manufacturer alongside an acclaimed European distributor to introduce an affordable Scomadi to the wider market and enthusiast. Subsequently the Scomadi range was officially launched at EICMA, Milan in 2013 and included the TL50 and TL125 editions. 2016 saw the arrival of the TL200 with the first 100 being transformed into FP200 Limited Edition scooters which were all sold prior to their arrival in the UK.

Scomadi has been embraced by scootering enthusiasts worldwide with many International Clubs established. A rapidly expanding dealership network in the UK, Europe, Oceania and Asia has seen Scomadi take its place amongst the iconic predecessors who have inspired its creation.

Scomadi is pleased to announce that Minor International PLC (www.minor.com), a large publicly listed company has joined forces with Scomadi Worldwide to further develop and expand Scomadi business, by utilising its expertise in the lifestyle and hospitality industry to promote and market the Scomadi brand worldwide through their Minor Lifestyle Group.

This is an exciting time for Scomadi, with funding being put in place to push forward with some innovative research and development projects to enhance the current models and add diversity to the Scomadi product range, along with the expansion of the current manufacturing infrastructure, which will result in a substantial increase in production volumes and allow us to meet the growing worldwide demand for Scomadi scooters.

We are also pleased to advise that Att Asavanund joins Scomadi Worldwide as Chief Executive Officer and will head the management team in Thailand, bringing with him industry experience as one of the founders of the Triumph Motorcycle distribution network in Thailand along with 20+ years as an Investment Banker. Att will be working closely with Frank and Paul as they continue to develop the Scomadi brand and product portfolio.

 The Pebble and the Boy



Further to our announcement of the range of limited edition scooters in partnership with The Who, we are pleased to share the news of another exciting marketing opportunity for the Scomadi brand.

We are delighted to announce that we have teamed up with Manchester born director, writer and producer Chris Green and the team behind the independent film The Pebble and The Boy.

Inspired by the music of Paul Weller and an album track of the same name, The Pebble and the Boy is a modern day road trip of discovery for nineteen year old John Parker who sets off on an eventful journey from Manchester on his late father’s Lambretta to scatter the dead man's ashes into the sea in Brighton, spiritual home of the Mods.  It is a film full of humour but at its heart is a story about the love between a boy and his father. 

The Pebble and The Boy team have launched a crowd funding campaign to raise the final funds required to complete the project with filming taking place in both Manchester and Brighton from September 2018.  There are some great opportunities on offer with both ride on and speaking parts in the film up for grabs.

Chris and his production team have taken the decision to commit to start shooting the film in September, part of the reason for this is that next year marks the 40th anniversary of Quadrophenia which is too good an opportunity to  miss!   They have the following in place:

  • An exciting well known cast that they will be announcing soon. 
  • Some great surprise cameo appearances from famous faces. 
  • An amazing soundtrack. 
  • Over 523,000 views of the teaser promoting the film.
